As we posted a few days ago, Green Day is headed to the studio with the cast of the American Idiot Musical to record '21 Guns', Billie Joe is producing the track.

The recording will be available to purchase for download by digital retailers later this month. You can read the press release on greenday.com.

This week Green Day also won an MTVu Woodie award for "Performing Woodie". From mtvu.com:
'Whenever punk rock veterans Green Day hit the stage, it's a show, whether they're playing to a sold-out crowd or turning a sound check for the MTV VMAs into an impromptu 30-minute-long set.'

The pre-show for the American Music Awards will be streamed live online at ustream.tv/asnlive, starting at 3 p.m. Pacific Time/6 p.m. Eastern Time. Pre-show is usually when the artists and other celebrities arrive on the red carpet for brief interviews.

The actual ceremony, where Green Day will be performing, begin at 8pm EST on ABC. We'll do our best to get Green Day's performance (and if they win, acceptance speeches) as quickly as we can on GDA.

JET is set to support Green Day for their upcoming Australian tour dates (December 4 - December 15). This comes from JET's official site.

Green Day is currently back in the US, getting little to no break time between the tours. As we posted earlier, the band is heading to the studio to record '21 Guns' with the cast of the American Idiot Musical, then they're off to play the American Music Awards this Sunday (Nov. 22nd) followed by a free, live "mini concert" in Los Angeles.

As far as we know, JET is only supporting for the Australian dates, not New Zealand. After the shows in New Zealand, the band will get another break around the Christmas holidays till they get ready to launch the tour in Asia, starting January 12th.

NME listed Green Day's performance in the Simpsons Movie in their 15 Classic Band Cameos in The Simpsons.
'They are killed early on, when the polluted Lake Springfield corrodes the stage during their performance - but at least they got to record a version of the theme song,'

GreenDay.de says that there will be a Green Day show on MTV Germany on "World Stage" airing December 4th.

The official site just uploaded this amazing live video for Last Night On Earth. This was filmed very recently, as you can tell by the Tre's red hair. Yes, I use Green Day's hair color to tell time. It was filmed in Zurich on November 8th, as found by bullet on the forum.

We've put the video up for download right here (65MB - mp4)
