This project was inspired by Weezer's Rivers Cuomo - he asked people on YouTube to work with him to write a new song. In our project, well get different people from around the world to send in their recordings of each instrument, then we'll piece it together by popular vote and end up with a final song in the end (hopefully).
We're recording 'Minority' this round. We started this project in 2009 but it was put on hold with the release of 21st Century Breakdown. In January 2010 we decided to start it back up again.

Vote for Electric Guitars
Your vote was successfully sent! The winners will be announced Tuesday morning.
Thanks for participating.
Next week we will take submissions for harmonica/accordian.
How To Enter
Record yourself. Use Tim, Alex, and Dan's music (drums, bass and acoustic - download here) to keep in proper timing.
Make sure there is no background music/noise. We should only hear your instrument.
For guitars, please pick acoustic or electric. You can submit one for each, but do not submit them together on one track.
IMPORTANT: After you've recorded your file, upload it to a hosting service like MegaUpload. Please don't email it directly to us, and please don't use a service like YouSendIt where the file expires.
Please only submit mp3 files. It'll make it easier on everyone else.
Once you've uploaded the file, send the URL to us through the form below.
Questions
Does it have to be exactly like Green Day's version? No. But it has to fit with the rest of the music, so don't get too crazy.
Can I enter for more than one instrument? Yes. But only submit your entries during the week for that instrument.
Can anyone enter? Yup
Does the quality matter? The better it sounds, the better your chances are of getting picked. It doesn't have to be studio quality, but it needs to be listenable.
Choosing the winners
Each week we'll pick our top 5 favorite entries and those will go up for a vote. I know some of you would prefer we put up every entry for a vote, but it just gets time consuming.
We'll send an email to the 5 finalists the day voting starts (every Saturday).
The winners will be announced Monday morning when voting for the next category begins.
This project is meant to be fun, so winning only means you get a spot on the final track. We're not going to give out prizes or anything like that. This first recording is more of an experiment than anything else. So we hope people enter just for the sake of having fun and to be a part of something different.
