MTV has a review of Green Day's performance at the EMAs, which you can read here. The first sentence of the article sums up Green Day's performance nicely: "The 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards kicked off with plenty of pyro, tons of crunching chords and a nearly exposed backside - all courtesy of Green Day."
Billie Joe was recently on the cover of Hot Press. Click on the following thumbnails to enlarge the images. Thanks to Isabel from our forums for the scans!
Green Day will be performing at the 37th Annual American Music Awards later this month, which will be broadcast on ABC at 8pm eastern on November 22nd. From MTV.
The band is also nominated for Favorite Alternative Rock Artist, against Kings of Leon and Shinedown. You can vote for Green Day right here.
Green Day is in the newest NME Magazine, with a review of the bands gig at the O2 in London October 23rd. They also have a short piece about their announcement of the 2 stadium shows in the UK next summer.
Don't forget, tickets for those shows are on sale today at gigsandtours.com, TicketMasterUK, TicketLine or you can call the box offices for the Manchester Lancashire County Cricket Ground and London Wembley Stadium.
By request of several GDA vistors, I've been asked to tell you to please vote for Green Day on Fuse Best of 2009. They are currently winning, but barely. So, yeah. Vote. Now. That is all.
Green Day was at the EMA's earlier and picked up, as Billie Joe called it, the "Best Cock Award". You can watch their lovely awkward acceptance speech on YouTube.
They also did a really kick ass performance of "Know Your Enemy" and "Minority". You can watch the video below, or download the video (it's 110MB). Thanks to Roby for the link
You can also view photos of the award show in the Picture Vault.
Hey everyone. In case you've forgotten, it's me, Courtney. :) I'm sorry I haven't been around lately, I've been dealing with some personal issues. Just to let you guys know, Nimrod of the Week will resume again this coming Sunday. I put it on hold for 2 weeks because I've been busy, plus I haven't had many entries. So get your entries in to me if you want to be a nimrod!
In case you missed it, here is a new photo session that I added to the Picture Vault a few days ago. It was taken in London, England on November 1. Enjoy.
Last but not least, Green Day was just confirmed to be ringing in 2010 with Carson Daly. Not many details were announced yet, but you can check out the article that confirmed this here.
Big Cheese Magazine has an interview with Mike Dirnt posted on their site. I haven't had a chance to listen to it, but it's supposed to be around 30 minutes long. You can listen to it here.
They also have a Billie Joe poster included in the newest issue of the magazine (#116). Disorder Magazine recently went to the Art Exhibition in London and posted some pictures of the art.
The band is performing tomorrow night at the EMA's in Berlin. Tre posted the picture to the right on Twitter with this:
'Backstage at MTV EMA's. I was just repeatedly asked to not take pictures. -tre'

Check out NME's website for an article about the Foxboro Hot Tubs gig in London, which was November 1st. Here's a snippet of what NME had to say:
As the night wore on, the band continued to goof around with Dirnt telling the audience: "The only reason you're here is you didn't go to church yesterday."
Rolling Stone also had a few things to say about the Foxboro Hot Tubs here. Enjoy a quote from the review:
Keeping with the trick-or-treat spirit, after exhausting that initial cavalcade of songs, the band next performed the title song "Stop, Drop and Roll" four more times consecutively, claiming each time they'd played it better than before.
Weezer's new album is out today, Raditude, and it's only $3.99 on Amazon. I bought the album right at midnight, and so far, love it (with the exception of one song). Weezer has always been one of my favorite bands, so I wanted to give them a little mention.
Now to justify this plug, here's a video of them covering Brain Stew recently for AOL Sessions. It's a really great cover, don't exepct it to sound like the original. It's vocals, piano and drums. Or you could watch it just to enjoy seeing Rivers hopping around in a onesie.
Green Day won the first round of Fuse's "Best of 2009" against Anberlin, and now they're up against Paramore. Voting has been extremely close all day, Paramore had the lead for most of the day. At the time of this posting, Paramore is ahead by about 500 votes.
Everyone needs to take a whole 10 seconds to visit this page and vote for Green Day. Then go on Facebook/MySpace/Twitter and get everyone you know to also help out. Because we can.

Green Day continued rocking thousands this week on the second leg of the 21st Century Breakdown Tour in Europe. This week Green Day played six stunning shows in England. Bloomberg.com posted up their review of the UK tour and they can't find anything bad to say about Green Day giving Green Day a 4 out of 4 star rating.
'Judging by the shows the Californian band has been playing in the U.K., audiences aren't likely to have a ball so much as a Super Bowl sized pop celebration.'
Also, as you know Green Day played as the Foxboro Hottubs last night at the The Garage in London, England. You can view pictures for the show here in our Picture Vault and a view videos can be view by clicking here.
The Foxboro Hot Tubs are playing tonight in Manchester, going on stage right after Prima Donna, and just before Green Day. Should be a hell of a night for those who can make it. While in Scotland, last week, Green Day used their day off between shows to go into the Sonic Boom Studios. There they recorded two new demo tracks and hung out with Bankie George Henry, who runs the studio.
"They asked a mutual friend of Green Day's tour management and myself and they ended up booking in to Sonic Boom for the whole day after hearing what we had to offer in our recording studio. Billie Joe and Mike turned up around 5pm and stayed until 10pm tracking their new stuff."
Don't get too excited though because according to Bankie we won't be hearing the new tracks for at least a year. You can read the full article by clicking here.
Kerrang! reviewed Green Day's show at The Odyssey Arena in Belfast. You can read the article below [via GreenDay.com]:
20 Minutos, a Spanish news site, interviewed Tre recently. It's a simple Q&A touching on subjects like fame, why they chose to do another rock-opera, and some other stuff about music. If you know Spanish, you can read the interview here. If not, "sara_gd" from our forums kindly provided a translation to English, which you can read on the forum.
