Follow GDA on threads! @gdauthority
Do you like to write and like Green Day? Well well, we have a position on the GDA team just waiting for you.

Update: We won't be accepting applications after Sunday night, February 20th. We'll announce the new team member sometime next week.

What do I have to do?

Sheesh, already with the questions. This person will primarily be in charge of writing our weekly newsletter, but will also help with writing news and editorials on GDA. We want someone who is passionate about writing, someone who would enjoy writing a longer article about various Green Day-related topics. We want to start having longer-form articles on GDA helping to look at and explain various subjects about the band. Editorials will be less frequent, but the newsletter will be weekly.

Do I get paid?

Only with love and admiration. This is a volunteer position, and shouldn't really take up too much time - a few hours a week - could be less or more depending on the kind of things you're writing about.

Requirements

Only a couple requirements: applicants must be 16 or older and proficient in English writing and grammar. If you've read GDA for any amount of time, you'd know that I'm pretty shitty at both of those things, so we want someone who will happily put my writing to shame. Knowledge of basic HTML (posting links, images) is helpful, but not required. You'll get some major cool points if know anything about journalistic writing.

How do I apply?

Send me an email to andres@greendayauthority.com with "News Editor Position" as the subject. Let me know your name, age, where you're from (state/country is plenty), and why you think you'd be good at the position. Include some examples of your writing so we can get an idea of your writing style.

Thanks! Looking forward to having someone new on the team to help build content for the site.
