[img=041512_greendayandguns.jpg]Last night, Green Day attended the 27th annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony to induct Guns N' Roses. Unexpectedly, Green Day opened the show with a performance of their song "Letterbomb" off of American Idiot.

The show was streamed live on the internet, but unfortunately, certain parts were cut out of the stream since HBO will be airing the ceremony on May 5th. Until then, you can watch highlights from the show over on Cleveland.com. There, you can see a clip of the band performing "Letterbomb" at the beginning and then a short clip of the actual induction of Guns N' Roses around the 1:40 mark. You can see a full fan shot video of "Letterbomb" over on YouTube.

All of Green Day came out to induct Guns N' Roses, but only Billie gave the induction speech, which you can listen to below. After, Guns N' Roses came out and performed "Mr. Brownstone" and "Sweet Child O' Mine" with Billie Joe singing some backing vocals. For the "Jam session" at the end of the show, Billie came out and played an acoustic guitar.

You can read a transcript of Billie's speech on UltimateCassicRock.com by clicking here.

We have uploaded 125 photos from backstage, Green Day's performance, and their induction speech given to Guns N' Roses over in this album of our picture vault.
