Green Day nominated for Best Live and Best Rock at the 2012 MTV EMAs

[caption=Green Day Irving Plaza]091912_ema-gd.jpg[/caption]The nominees are out for the 2012 MTV European Music Awards and Green Day has made the cut not just once, but twice. The band is nominated for Best Live and Best Rock and voters get to decide who wins!
In the Best Live category, Green Day is up against Jay-Z & Kayne West, Lady Gaga, Muse, and Taylor Swift. Considering it's the EMAs, I think the toughest competition will be Muse.
For the Best Rock category, the band is facing Coldplay, the Killers, Linkin Park, and, once again, Muse.
Voting has begun for the awards show and you can do just that on the EMAs website by clicking here. You'll have to go to each category separately to vote. Voting ends November 9th so there is a lot of time to vote Green Day into the winners' circle.
The awards show takes place November 11th in Frankfurt, Germany.
