James Hetfield of Metallica
As we posted a few weeks back, Metallica filled in for Green Day last night at the Voodoo Festival in New Orleans. Green Day was originally going to be headlining the festival, but had to cancel due to Billie Joe's recent time in rehab for substance abuse.

Fuse.tv was at the show, in their article they give us some insight on some of the things Metallica did during their set in reference to Green Day.

"After raging their way through opening songs "Hit the Lights" and "Master of Puppets," lead singer James Hetfield addressed the giant elephant in the room (park?) with a joke: "We! Are! Green Day! ...except a little taller." Metallica poured some out again for their friend in need toward the end of the show, when they dedicated Master of Puppets track "Battery" to Armstrong: "This one's for Billie.""

During Metallica's encore they played the first verse of "American Idiot," claiming that was the only part of the song the band knew how to play.
