Green Day will be performing live on the Tony Awards this Sunday on CBS. The ceremony starts at 8:00pm EST. The band has a show the night before in Austria and will catch a flight to New York to attend the ceremony. in case you are wondering, that is about a 15 hour flight.

The American Idiot musical will also perform at some point during the night. The musical is nominated for Best Musical, Best Scenic Design, and Best Lighting Design.

By the articles online and ads on TV, the Tony Awards and CBS seem to be pretty stoked to have Green Day attending and performing on Sunday.
