[newsImage]070710_revival.jpg[/newsImage]Green Day's cover of "I Fought the Law" is going to be included on a compilation album which set to be released at the end of July. The album, titled Rhythm del Mundo: Revival, is being put out by APE (Arists Project Earth), which is an organization that supports families affected by natural disasters. Proceeds from this album will be used to provide necessities such as medical supplies, food, water and shelter to the people of Haiti, Chile and the Tibetan Plateau who are still struggling to survive in the wake of recent devastating earthquakes.

They have put out two previous albums titled "Rhythms del Mundo" which fuses popular Cuban musicians with artists from the US and UK. They take the original vocals of songs and then add background music to give it a "Cuban" feeling. They have worked with Coldplay, The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, U2, Arctic Monkeys, and many other artists.

APE's website is reporting that the album will be available on July 26th through their new store which is coming soon. And I'm going to guess that it will be available on iTunes since previous Rhythms del Mundo are currently on there. You can take a listen to some of their songs on iTunes by clicking here.

It will be very interesting to hear that "Cuban style" version of "I Fought the Law" when the album is available. The full song-list can be viewed by clicking here.
