as you posted already Billie Joe announced it was there 17th anniversary, so id like to start out by wishing Geen Day a happy birthday! the other night was now my 5th show ive been to in the last year of the American Idiot tours, and as expected it was a great one. i went to the shows in Milwaukee and Madison, WI. Chicago and Moline, IL. and now Dayton, OH. (if you are wondering, i live in Milwaukee) so after are 6-7 hour road trip to Dayton from Milwaukee. we got there at about 11am got some food and got in line like at a little after noon or so. we sat outside in line for about 6 hours til they finally let us in. security sucked, they scanned us with metal detectors outside, and they didnt want to let me in with my studded belt!! but i convinced them to, because there was no way i was about to leave the line to go back to my car. anyways the show started at 7pm as scheduled. i honestly dont even know the name of the band that opened, but they wernt very good. of course i was one of the first in so i got a great spot to stand up front and center, so i noticed that all 3 of the guys were standing off to the side watching them play. and it was funny cuz Tre' kept on pushing the button for the fireworks to go off and it was messing up there show haha. the first time he did it, it even scared the crap out of the band members on stage. way to go Tre'. then after their set of course we waited for about 15 minutes then the bunny came out and everyone was singing to Blitzkreig Bop and he was throwing out a few plush bunnies. then one of my favorite parts of the show where the guys all come out to the space oddesey music. Billie then announced that the night was gonna be extra special becuase they are going to play American Idiot "all the way from the front to back". towards the end of the album when they were playing "Homecoming" they had the confetti shooting out, as if it was the end of the show. then they went off stage, and came back to play "whatsername". and right after they started to steer towards their traditional concert set. they started out with playing all the hits, in order, from the Dookie album. they started with "Longview", then "Welcome To Paradise", "Basketcase", "She", and then "When I Come Around", for those of you who know, they dont usually play welcome to paradise and when i come around/ so that was a little treat for me anyway.and then they went into "King For A Day" wich you know is followed by "Shout". then they played "Minority" of course followed by "We Are The Champions", and then "Good Riddance" a little something special Billie did was that he actually introduced himself. usually he introduces him self as george w. bush, or "asshole". but this time he said "oh fuck it... my name is fuckin BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG!!". so that was awesome. and then to top off my night i got one of Tre's drumsticks. picture count for the night: 67 haha heres a few. if you guys want anymore just email me and let me know.
