Gig was amazing. The organisation around it not so much. I got stranded in Dublin with no where to stay after missing my Shuttle bus back to the city centre so I missed my Aircoach. The stewards had no idea where to send people.    But anyway yes gig was brilliant! Though seems now MCR may have started a trend..even if the artist doesnt mention the Queen ...mention England and you may get the chant 'Fuck the Queen' back lol. Billie looked so confused.    @gmcloughlin Did you get to shoot them for your home gig?  

       

I think you're thinking of Glen  - and yes, he did get to shoot them! We had the same issues both getting to and back from Marlay Park. We were in Dundrum waiting for the 175 at about 3:15/3:30. All the buses were packed so they weren't stopping. We met two girls at the stop who said they'd been there an hour and a half waiting at that point. After about an hour we started walking and managed to get a taxi which dropped us to the entrance... that's when we saw the queue. We walked 25 mins to reach the end of the queue, and a steward then told us they were opening another entrance which was 20 mins walk, so we headed that way. It took just over an hour in total to get into the concert and Weezer were already on ? Afterwards, we asked a Guard what the story was with buses and were told that public buses were running, but after an hour there was no sign of any bus coming (bar one 175 that was not full but refused to stop).  We ended up jumping on one of the Marathon shuttles to the Dundrum Luas stop, only to find several hundred people queuing for the Luas. One came along and some people got on, but there was still a massive queue. We were then told that was the last Luas and the buses were finished for the night ? I tried Uber and Freenow several times (my bank ended up putting a hold on my card cos they thought something was wrong ?) but no good! At 1am we started walking down the road and eventually flagged down a taxi. I was sure we were going to be stranded there for the night so it was a massive relief! There were still loads of people waiting when we left the Luas stop. So in short, gig was class but venue/organisation was shocking.
