Follow GDA on threads! @gdauthority
We're looking for a couple new editors for the site to help write and publish the news on GDA. The position is a volunteer position (as are all of our spots on the team). Here's what we're looking for:

  • Previous experience writing for a website. Anyone who's done any kind of blogging, personal or otherwise, would be awesome.

  • Basic HTML knowledge. Knowing how to make a link, add an image, plus resizing/cropping photos

  • The regular stuff like dedication, trustworthiness, and obviously it's important that you can work well in a team. We want people who have ideas on how we can improve the news and the quality of content we put up on GDA, and would be eager to be involved in helping steer us in that direction.

  • Very active online. We want people who would be willing to write at least a post per day (though realistically it won't be that often). At the very least this person should be able to spare the time to write something if there's news yet to be covered that day.

  • Exceptional writing, grammar and spelling. Doesn't need to be perfect (god forbid anyone keep a tally of all my mistakes), but you should have a strong command of the English language, and be able to write casually about an item with the specificity and tone that would suit GDA's audience.

Want to apply? Send me an email to andres@greendayauthority.com with the subject "News Editor Position", include the following:
  • Name, Age, Location
  • previous experience (links to other sites you've posted on would be awesome)
  • plus I'd like for you to write up a sample news story. Take any recent story from GDA (or if you're really badass, some Green Day news we haven't posted about) and write/re-write it in your style.

The dealine to apply is Tuesday April 5.

Looking forward to reading your applications and bringing on some new people to help on the team.
