Welcome Back

WELCOME BACK EVERYONE! GDA is finally up and running on our new server. It was a pain, but we'd like to thank you all for your patience. And now for the Green Day news, there is a TON.

First of all, Green Day was featured on VH1's Storytellers this weekend. The show is excellent, so if you missed it, be sure to click here and see when it will be played again. VH1 has also been playing Ultimate Albums: Dookie, which is a great documentary about Green Day's early days.

Green Day has been featured in a few magazines in the past few days. They were on the cover of the UK's Q Magazine, as well as some blurbs were in Teen People, J14, and Tiger Beat. I do have the scans, thanks to some GDA fans. I will posting them on the articles page soon. I also have better scans of some articles that people were complaining they couldn't read. If you see one that you have trouble reading, be sure to report that to me.

Congratulations to the guys, who won the award for "Favorite Music Group" at the 18th Annual Kid's Choice Awards on Nickelodeon. Unfortunatly, the guys weren't there to accept the award, but they did send their thanks. If you want to check out the entire winner's list, click here. And did anyone notice that the guitar player from Simple Plan had the American Idiot hand on his guitar? I'm sure you did.

Get your VCRs ready again, Green Day will be at MTV's TRL on Thursday, April 7th. Keep voting for Holiday, click here. TRL's website also says that on Monday, April 4th, they will be "checking in with once and future tourmates Green Day and Simple Plan." Green Day will also be on Saturday Night Live on NBC, April 9th. Check your local listings for times.

More award nominations for Green Day. They were nominated for 2 categories for Boulevard of Broken Dreams, at the 14th Annual MVPA Awards to be given in May.

For everyone in the UK, Green Day are doing a live show / interview in LA on BBC Radio One on Tuesday, April 5th @ 9AM British Time.

A few tour dates have been added. Tickets for these shows will go on sale Saturday April 9. Pre-sales will start next week, so check back for more information!
09/01/05, New Jersey, Giant Stadium
09/24/05, San Francisco, CA, SBC Park

Last but not least, we want to thank you all again for all the patience you've had with us. We're still fixing up the site a bit, so you may see a broken link here and and there. Also if you had an e-mail address with us, please contact me. Also all our fan art has been lost, so if you sent that in please resent it. The e-mail address is on the fan art page.

Tyke will keep you updated soon if anyone is interested in buying 2 floor tickets to Manchester, New Hampshire. He has some tickets to sell and will be letting you know how you can buy them soon.
The chat is still being re-done and should be up tomorrow. Unfortunately we are moving the chat room, so we lost all the users, if you were part of the chat, you will have to re-register. There is also a problem with the GDA Forum that we are working on.
