It's one of the best interviews I've heard with Billie Joe in a long time. The host, Terry Gross, talks to Billie for about 35 minutes and they cover and wide-range of topics. They talk about growing up and his father's death, meeting Mike and starting out at Gilman. They also talk about drugs and his thought process for certain songs (Holiday, American Idiot, Basket Case, Give Me Novacaine) and he talks about meeting Adrienne, amongst some other topics.
