Announced this morning, Green Day is scheduled to perform at this year's Global Citizen Festival in New York City.

The festival takes place on September 23rd and is held in New York City's Central Park. Green Day will share the stage with Stevie Wonder, The Killers, The Lumineers, and the Chainsmokers. Special guests include Pharrell Williams, Big Sean, Andra Day, and Alessia Cara. The festival will air live on MSNBC and MSNBC.com in the US.
