British indie rockers Bastille have released a cover of 'Basket Case' today, recorded for Amazon Video's 'The Tick'.

The band, best known for tracks such as 'Pompeii' and 'Good Grief', have put their own spin on the classic Green Day track, with an arrangement dominated by strings and brass.

The cover has a far cleaner sound than the 1994 original, though that isn't to its detriment. The band were helped with the arrangement by Rosie Danvers & Wired Strings and Jonny Abraham, whom they thanked in a recent Facebook post.

The song is available now to download and stream on all major channels. Listen to it below:

'The Tick', which is based on Ben Edlund's spoof superhero comic books, will be out on Amazon Video from August 25th. It's not yet known how great a role the song will play in the series.

What do you think of the cover? Have Bastille done a good job? Let us know in the comments.
