GOOD NEWS.....AND BAD NEWS.
THE GOOD NEWS.....
Green Day have been nominated for 4 California Music Awards. Geez, they get nominated every year. Anyway, they're up for Outstanding Group, Outstanding Vocalist - Billie Joe, Outstanding bassist - Mike Dirnt, and Outstanding drummer - Tre Cool. The Network was also nominated for an award, Best Debut Album - Money Money 2020. Click here to go to the website and vote for our guys. Also, GreenDay.com's got some new studio pictures, so go check them out. And Green Day is doing the Summer Sonic festival in Japan August 7-8. For more details, click here.
AND NOW FOR SOME BAD NEWS......
Once again, GDA is being forced to change servers. Here's the deal. I went to a hosting company called HostaMeg, who was then sold to IDDRIVE, who is now being sold to Full Service Hosting. There would be a seemless transfer, and not that big of a deal, if only there was a plan at this new company that would fit GDA's needs. They want $129 for a plan that only has 10GB of bandwidth each month! Currently, I'm getting 80GB of bandwidth for $35 a month! If you know anything about web hosting and servers, you'll know this is bad.....GDA exceeds 40GB bandwidth each month as is. Anyway, to make a long story short, I contacted Powweb (my old server who kicked me off), and they have agreed to let me come back. So GDA may experience some downtimes in the next weeks or month, just please be patient. I was struggling with myself to even determine whether I still want to do the site and have it up, and to tell you the truth I still haven't made a final decision. The new webmasters and tabber (even though he does have access) will have to hold on until I have GDA up and running on a stable basis. Just please, be patient.
