21st Century Breakdown Album Cover

Photo Details

The 21st Century Breakdown cover was designed by Chris Bilheimer (Green Day’s longtime art director/designer), but the central "kissing couple" image was based on original stencil art by Swedish street artist Sixten. Sixten created the stencil from a photo of two friends kissing at a party in Eskilstuna, Sweden, and Bilheimer adapted it into the final album package.
