Anytime I read Canada and grey, my mind automatically fills in the next word as goose.

Hey now! … yeah we deserve that.  They're painful to watch.  

In theory, Canadian football should be a lot more fun. Bigger field, only three downs, lends itself to a faster-paced game with a more wide-open feel to it. Less "three yards and a cloud of dust", more "30-yard shot downfield". In practice, it's terrible because everyone who plays football and is any good goes to the NFL instead. The Jaguars' third quarterback was the Grey Cup MVP. Now he's not even technically on the Jaguars, just kind of hangs out during the week in case they need him. He'd be a starter for any team in the CFL and probably a great one, but instead he's carrying Trevor Lawrence's backup's jockstrap around. O Canada, God took all the talent from thee.
