Woke up one day to my friend Max calling me. There was a secret show afoot in Austin, and he was going to put me on the list and assured me that, whatever my plans were, I had to go, though he wasn't allowed to tell me who would be playing. And so I was running through all the possibilities in my head all day long, excited for the prospect of a secret mystery show, when he called me back a few hours later and told me that he'd tell me who was playing if I promised to A) keep it a secret, and B) draw a flyer. I agreed.
Mitch also does the comic strip, Nothing Nice to Say, which he's included Green Day in before. Here's his comic about "Pants-gate" earlier this year.

Thanks for sharing your story with us, Mitch. Your flyer was definitely one the best I've seen done for the band. I remember when we first got the flyer that day of the show, I thought, "Holy fuck. This is so perfect."
