[pic=The Dookie Demos]011213_dookiedemos.jpg[/pic]For the second week in our reboot of [turl=http://www.greendayauthority.com/news/tags/download-of-the-week/]Download of the Week[/turl], we're bringing you back to the days before Green Day was signed to Reprise Records and were in the planning stages of Dookie.

The Dookie Demos tape was what Green Day used when they were looking around for record labels that would release Dookie. Besides only having demo versions of tracks that were included on Dookie, there are also demo versions of songs that weren't released for years to come. "J.A.R." and "Haushinka" are among the tracks on the demo tape that never made it onto Dookie.

The fourteen track demo tape is a unique piece of Green Day history and is something that every fan should hear at least once.
