A check of the SXSW music festival's website has revealed that the Foxboro Hot Tubs and Emily's Army will be playing the festival at a small venue.
We have confirmed with band management that they will play Friday, March 14, during the four-day "Music" period of the festival.
SXSW is unique in that its performances are spread out among Austin, Texas' many different music venues. Foxboro Hot Tubs are slated for Brazos Hall, a facility with an outdoor Rooftop Deck (450-person capacity) and an indoor Main Hall (900-person capacity).
Emily's Army is scheduled to play from 8:00PM - 8:40PM, with the Foxboro Hot Tubs following up from 10:00PM - 12:00AM.
The event schedule on SXSW's website gives only "……" as description for FBHT's portion of the show. For Emily's Army's show, fans must have a Music Badge, Platinum Badge, or a Music Festival Wristband to attend. Both shows also appear to be ages 21 & over only.
Billboard has announced that the Foxboro Hot Tubs will also be playing at Rachel Ray's Feedback Festival the day after SXSW on March 15th at Stubb's BBQ. The event appears to be open to the public, though the band will be playing in the the venue's "tiny room" so I'm sure it will fill up quickly. We expect more info to be posted on the Rachel Ray Feedback website as the date gets closer.
