A lot of exciting things have been happening in the world of Green Day since the band released its new single, “Bang Bang,” a week ago and announced Revolution Radio, a new album coming Oct. 7.

Here are a few bits of interesting news that popped up recently:

‘Bang Bang’ debuts at No. 16
Billboard reported an impressive debut for “Bang Bang” in its first week. The lead single currently sits at No. 16 on its rock charts — the highest debut since Beck’s song “Dreams” began at No. 13 in July 2015. "Bang Bang" is Green Day's 31st entry on the chart. Only U2 and Pearl Jam have made more visits.

Broken Guitars merch is now online
Fans can now purchase merchandise from Broken Guitars, a guitar shop in Oakland, California, owned by Billie Joe and Green Day crew member Bill Schneider. Some T-shirts, hats and buttons are available on the Machete MFG online store.

‘Minority’ 7” vinyl on sale
To celebrate the release of “Bang Bang,” the Adeline Records online store is selling its 7” “Minority” vinyl 50 percent off. The pressing costs $3.50 and is available in cream marble (limited to 500) and gray marble (limited to 1,000). Get ‘em while they last!

Green Day mentioned in CNET podcast
The 404 Show, a podcast on CNET, began its Aug. 12 podcast with a nostalgic talk about Green Day and a review of “Bang Bang." The hosts admitted they really haven’t paid much attention to the band in the last decade or so, but said they love the new song.

You can listen to the podcast here. It kicks off with the Green Day talk and it lasts about 10 minutes.
