[newsImage]091710_bandcontest.jpg[/newsImage]MTV Brazil is currently holding a contest to choose an opening band for Green Day when they play in Sao Paulo, Brazil on October 20th.

In the first round of the contest 30 bands will be picked and judged by a group of Brazilian music stars, and they will choose five finalists. From there the five chosen bands will have to play a club show in Sao Paulo and the best band will be selected as the winner.
