I finally got to adding 2 more bands to the fan music. So be sure to check out all the bands if you haven't been. If you have already been, check out the new bands Frantic and The Breakdowns. Make sure to check out the links or check out their myspaces or purevolume links as the bands are pretty good.
Be sure to support one of the fan music bands who are trying to get themselves to Warped Tour. Click here and listen to the songs all the way through if you like them, as it will help them get there.
Something went weird with my email, so if you applied for fan music and were not added it might be because of that. If you want your band on the fan music section, email me with your photos, bios and mp3s.
The guitar tabs have been updated with most songs from Dookie. More will be added soon.
Also, if you did not read Andres' post below, make sure to read it if you are interested in help GDA. The link is here.
First off, as you all apparently are quite aware, the fan of the week has not been updated for a while because of our short vacation. It is now up, so check out our newest fan of the week.
Our thanks to Evelyn for sending in a close and clear shot of Billies tattoo's of "Adrienne" and the angels he has on his right arm. Check it out here.
You all have been patient for the most part in waiting for the logo winner to be posted. We have chosen a winner, and they have been contacted, so in just a matter of days we will be able to post the logo for you all to see.
Don't forget, if you're intrested in helping out GDA with graphics or album reviews, read this page.
Thanks for being patient as we worked on our servers yesterday. The site for the most part is running fine now, however the chat will remain offline for a couple days while we look deeper into the errors we ran into yesterday.
The Band Tattoo's page has been updated with a picture of Billie's new tattoo on his right arm.
We are looking for a new graphic designer to replace our first designer, Ness, who has had to leave for personal reasons. If you're good at making graphics (like the banners and stuff we have all around gda), be sure to read this page with more info on how to apply. We're also looking for people to write some album reviews for us. You can learn more about how to submit yours by clicking here.

The interview with Billie Joe and the New York Times from January of '05 has been made available through the NY Times podcast on iTunes. Click here to launch iTunes and listen.
We have updated the wallpaper downloads section. And yes, Billie dyed his hair back to black (as you can see from this past Sunday's ceremony pictures), and we can see that as well. There's no need for anyone to email us anymore to make sure we've noticed. From those pictures (and from the Icon Awards photos) you'll notice Billie has a new tattoo on his right arm of a rose and also a small tattoo of the "Adeline" logo on his ring finger on this right hand as well.
As you guys probably noticed there have been no updates for a few days. I loved the hundreds of emails that said "did one of you die or something. why was the site not updated!!!" Well, thanks for the concern, but no we are all still alive and well but we were all away (obvious enough). Don't worry, we're back now and the daily updates will continue as normal.
If you have emailed us, please give us a few extra days to reply.
On the Green Day news front: Green Day was honored by The Recording Academy in San Francisco on Sunday. You can read more about this event here. You guys can check out more pictures from the press room here in our pic vault. GDA's full page ad that you guys helped pay for was in that program book, and we'll put up a scan of the program soon. We'll have more on this event later this week.
I still have a shit load of emails to go through, so more Green Day news will be posted in tomorrow's updates. This post was just so you know none of us died...just on a small, well deserved vacation.
There's a new video for you guys in the video downloads. We've put up 409 in your Coffeemaker from the Pinole Valley High School show in 1990.
We've made a section on our forum for you guys to get help and feedback on your music/writing. For any musicians who have questions or want feedback on something you've written or recorded, post it there. On a small minor note; You guys can now see how many users are 'online' in our forum under the "Stats" section on the bottom right.
The Picture Vault has also been updated. If you guys have some pictures we don't, or have better quality shots that aren't in our vault, be sure to post them here so we can add them.

We have a new Fan of the Week for this week. Check out Riley.
Also, i know that lots of you like to check out the forum. Rather than going to the forum every second, just download the toolbar which now tells you which topics are being discussed on the forum. How easy is that.
Since I just returned from a short break, I have not had too much time to look over the iPod contest results, but expect a winner very soon.

Fuse will be airing "Bullet in a Bible" on Tuesday, March 14 at 10PM (est) on 'Project This'. Our thanks to Blubazooka for posting a couple of the commercials airing for this episode.
If you know or belong to a band that you think should be heard by other fans, click here to nominate them to be our "Band of the Week."

Our new picture vault admin, Clover, has added around 500 new pictures to the Picture Vault over the past week or so. Click here to see the lastest uploads.
John Roecker was on 'Attack of the Show' on G4 yesterday, talking about Live Freaky Die Freaky. He talks about working with Billie Joe and why he chose him for the lead role in the film. He also mentions a small bit about working on Green Day's "making of" documentary that he filmed during the recording of American Idiot. He didn't say when the documentary was being released, just that it's been hard to edit it down from the 300 hours that he originally shot. Visit our video downloads to get the 6 minute interview.
Im not even sure how to introduce this, but I suppose for all of you fans out there who want to play Billie dressup, or maybe just want a voodoo doll. You are in luck. Check out Star Doll where you can purchase Billie Joe, yes as a paper doll and dress him up. Hmm.
The Idiot Club is giving all of it's members a chance to win some Green Day equipment. They are giving away a Billie Joe Les Paul guitar, a Mike Dirnt Fender Bass, and they are giving away Tré's drums that he used for the 'American Idiot' music video. Visit GreenDay.com for more info.
We are looking for those of you with Green Day audio collections to help us out with a section on our forum just for Audio. Visit the forum for more info.
Edit by Tyke: Fan of the Week has also been updated for this week. Good job Casey.
Alright guys, the logo iPod Giveaway contest is now officially over. We are no longer accepting entries. We will announce the winner in 2-3 weeks.
I know there are many of you fans who enjoy collecting Green Day videos. I invite you to use our Videos section on the forum to share/collect videos. Our users have posted over 300 videos with everything from the early days to the most recent award shows. The more people contributing to the forum, the more videos shared, the happier everyone is. If you don't want video, check out the dozen other sections of the forum. So join if you haven't yet. Be sure to read all the rules and pinned threads so we don't get redundant questions over and over.
You can read a short article about the song Mechanical Man here, and you can listen/download the song in the extra media (#3) section.
The timer in the Ipod contest page is based on your computer clock. So it will be ending at different times for everyone because of time zones. The contest will be ending tomorrow morning around 10am EST.
Also, this week I have finals, so be patient and expect the fan of the week and some quizzes a little later.
