Oak Leaf: "Despite the disappointment of the crowd in the Coop patio Wednesday, Doctor Obvious replaced scheduled band. Green Day. With dual drums, a strong bass line and an almost non-existant guitar track, Doctor Obvious was a high energy, spirited band, who drew a small following. The fourth song of the set had an edge unseen in any of the previous songs, implementing the use of a synthesizer and a suddenly audible guitar."
