Green Day has announced that it will be postponing a handful of scheduled events this week due to the news from this weekend about Billie Joe getting treatment for substance abuse.

The following events have now been postponed

September 24th - KROQ & Red Bull Sound Space
September 25th - Performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live
September 26th - Meet & Greet at Tilly's in Burbank
September 27th - Performance on Ellen
September 28th - Concert at The Fillmore in San Francisco, CA (tickets for the original date will be honored for the new date)

Billie Joe will still have a part on this seasons 'The Voice', as his parts were filmed earlier this summer.

Green Day's next scheduled event is VooDoo Festival in New Orleans coming up October 27th.
