Green Day's official site announced that Billie Joe will induct The Stooges at the ceremony, which takes place March 15th at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. The event will be broadcast live on Fuse.

Green Day worked with Iggy Pop (lead singer for The Stooges) on his solo album in 2003 on a song called Private Hell, check it out on YouTube. You can definitely hear some Network-style influence in there.
