About Fuzz

Fuzz, also known as Andres, has been a Green Day fan since 2002. He joined GDA in spring 2004 and became co-owner later that year, spending the next decade or so as the site's main developer, editor, and general handyman.

"Fuzz" was a nickname his friends gave him in high school, and it's what most people still call him today. For whatever reason, "Andres" stuck on GDA 20 years ago, so this is the over-explanation for anyone reading this and thinking, "Who the fuck is Fuzz?"

From 2004 to 2016, he helped GDA grow through news updates, site features, community projects, redesigns, broken code, server problems, and managing the team. After 2016, a "real job" took priority, so he mostly stayed behind the scenes keeping the lights on.

In April 2026, he returned to rebuild GDA and GDC after watching independent fan sites largely disappear as fans moved to social media. He wanted to preserve the archives and community built over the previous 25 years while giving Green Day fans an independent place to find news, photos, history and connect with each other.

He believes there is still a place for fan sites like GDA, and he wants to make sure everything fans have contributed over the years remains available for years to come.
