[img=010812_mikecafe.jpg]When Green Day was first starting out, before they made it big, the band held other day jobs to rise money for touring and other band related expenses. Mike Dirnt worked in a restaurant as a short-order cook and the restaurant bug never seemed to leave him and in 2002 Mike opened Rudy's Can't Fail Cafe. Mike now owns two cafe's under the same name in the Oakland California area.

Rudy's Can't Fail Cafe has been included in a new list compiled by Rolling Stone and has been named one of their top "Rocker Restaurants".
