Green Day playing show this Monday in LA

[caption=Billie Joe at the Tiki Bar]080412_echoplex.jpg[/caption]Billie Joe just announced on Twitter that Green Day will be playing a show this Monday night at the Echoplex in Los Angeles. Tickets for the show will go on sale Monday morning at 10:00am PST on Echo's website.
The doors at the Echoplex will open at 8:00pm. The Echoplex is a relatively small venue that can hold only a few hundred people.
This is the band's first show since they played Not So Silent Night last December. And this will be the first time we've heard new songs since the band's show at the Red7 in Texas last November. The band will no doubt be playing new material and it will be great to hear that.
If we come across any photos, videos, or sound clips from the show, we will be sure to post them.
