Mike Dirnt endorses C-3PO in Australia's upcoming federal election

[pic=C3PO from Star Wars]090413_c3po.jpg[/pic]In an article written by Australia's The Age Entertainment, Mike Dirnt has officially endorsed C-3PO as Prime Minister of Australia in the country's upcoming election.
C-3PO is a character from the (fantastic) movie series, Star Wars. Australia's federal election is this coming Saturday and there is a tight race between two candidates, who are both human. Mike wanted to throw a Droid in the mix, just to spice things up.

On another note, Mike has pretty much confirmed that Green Day will be taking a break this fall and winter:
Green Day is headline the Soundwave Festival this February and March in Australia.

I would be into marking the ballot paper with your favorite Star Wars character – even if it's not a good guy. [C3PO]'s pretty diplomatic, he speaks 600 languages, he doesn't like violence, he's got the look – he's all gold and shit, y'know.
