The winners were announced last week and American Idiot has "cleaned house." There were 25 awards given out and American Idiot won 40% of them... I would say that is pretty spectacular.

The musical won Best Musical, Best Direction of a Musical (Michael Mayer), Best Leading Actor in a Musical (John Gallagher Jr.), Best Featured Actor in a Musical (Tony Vincent), Best Featured Actress in a Musical (Rebecca Naomi Jones), Best Orchestrations (Tom Kitt), Best Choreography (Steven Hoggett), Best Lighting Design (Kevin Adams), Best Scenic Design (Christine Jones), Best Sound Design (Brian Roan).
