Collider just put out a list ranking the 20 best classic rock albums of the 90s and Dookie had a massive showing. They put it up at number three, only behind Goo by Sonic Youth and Nevermind by Nirvana. That's some pretty good company to be keeping. Other bands on the list include Blink 182, Sublime, and the Stone Temple Pilots.

The article talks about how Dookie basically revitalized punk for a new generation. It even mentions the album being preserved in the Library of Congress. They also gave some love to Kerplunk, Insomniac, and Nimrod for their influence on the scene.

I know it has been thirty years, but it's a little crazy to hear Dookie referred to as classic rock.

What do you think about the number 3 spot? Should it have been higher or is that about right? Let us know in the comments.
