Tickets for the international screenings of Green Day's upcoming movie Nimrods go on sale this Tuesday, July 14th. Global screenings will take place beginning August 11th, including select theaters in the U.S., followed by the movie's wider U.S. release on August 14th.

Here's what Green Day fans need to know before tickets become available.

Nimrods release dates

July 14: Tickets go on sale for August 11th screenings. Updated 7/14/26: Showtimes are now live at nimrodsmovie2026.com.
July 31: The Nimrods soundtrack will be released.
August 11: Limited international screenings begin.
August 14: The movie opens in theaters across the United States.

The August 11th screenings will include a recorded introduction from Green Day and bonus live performances, most likely recorded at the March 2025 date at the Hollywood Palladium, which was announced with free tickets specifically to film for Nimrods. Picturehouse says its screenings will feature three previously unseen performances recorded by the band. U.S. early-access screenings are also being advertised with a Green Day introduction and bonus performance.

The July 14th ticket date applies to screenings. Some U.S. theaters (like Regal and AMC) have already started listing tickets for the August 11 early-access event, while availability for the wider August 14 release is still being added.

Where will Nimrods be playing?

The official international Nimrods website currently says the movie will be in cinemas for a limited time beginning August 11th, but it does not yet provide a searchable list of countries, theaters or showtimes.

What is Nimrods about?

Nimrods follows three friends who set out on a road trip to Los Angeles after mistakenly believing their band has been booked to open for Green Day on New Year's Eve.

The story was inspired by Green Day's adventures living and touring in a van before the release of Dookie. The cast includes Mason Thames, Kylr Coffman, Ryan Foust, Mckenna Grace, Jenna Fischer, Angela Kinsey, Fred Armisen, Bobby Lee and Sean Gunn. Billie Joe, Mike and Tré are producers on the movie and also make appearances throughout it.

The movie originally premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2025 under the title New Years Rev. It was renamed Nimrods earlier this year after being acquired for theatrical distribution.

The Nimrods soundtrack

The Nimrods soundtrack will be released July 31 on vinyl, CD, cassette and streaming services. It can be purchased on Amazon

It includes Green Day's new song "I'm Never Gonna R.I.P.," 22 other Green Day songs, and several live recordings. The soundtrack also features music from The Paradox, Ultra Q, Mckenna Grace and Analog Dogs.

Several physical editions are already available to preorder, including a neon green Green Day store exclusive, a red swirl Target edition with a poster and an exclusive "Woodstock Mud" pressing.

What we still do not know

There are still several details that should become clearer when international tickets go on sale July 14, including the full list of participating countries and theaters, how long screenings will remain available in each market and exactly what live footage will be included.

We will keep this guide updated as new countries, theaters and ticket links are announced. Check back July 14 as more international theaters, showtimes and ticket links are added.
