  • mondosonoro.com: "It's Green Day's fourth tour in the country - in support of Nimrod, Californians' latest album - which was significantly less anticipated than its predcessor, Insomniac. In less than two years, Green Day was back to grace our stages and everyone seemed to have a huge craving for the band. That is surprising, considering that Billie Joe, Mike and Tre haven't changed a bit, which also meant that their repertoire was good as usual - a mix of older classics (2,000 Light Years Away, Welcome To Paradise, Going To Pasalacqua, Basket Case, When I Come Around and Stuck With Me) and new songs (Nice Guys Finish Last, Hitchin' A Ride and The Grouch). They didn't forget to remind us that they still have a sense of humor - at expense of few Metallica licks, clever jab at The Beautiful People by Marilyn Manson and, of course, a tease of the Eye of the Tiger by Survivor. They even pulled a kid up on stage to play Operation Ivy's Knowledge. Green Day finished with Good Riddance - their hit acoustic ballad, after destroying the stage and getting a huge kick out of it, The Who-style. Green Day are in their best shape yet."
