Randy Brown: "We all have work, and bills, and kids and daily shit to worry about, but sometimes it's good for the soul to drop the insane amount of money for tickets (ahem, Paul McCartney in Sioux Falls) and have the experience. The reverse is true as well. There are a handful of people in Rapid City who still brag about seeing a three-piece punk band at the Imperial Inn (or whatever it was called) in 1991 for $5. That band? Green Day. My point, even if only for my own reminder, is to go to the show."
Jesse Fletcher: "Well, most people know all of the RC stories, but a few years back I set up a show here in Oakland at the Uptown with Green Day. After the show Mike Dirnt and I sat down, had a few beers, and talked about the old days. He said RC was one their favorite places to play. He admitted missing being a small punk band in a van touring the country. He also remembered trying to talk me into dropping out of high school and going on the road with them as the merch/tour manager during the '91 SDSM&T show. I believe that was Tre Cool's first tour as their new drummer. They were totally late and their merch guy bailed on them some where is Wyoming."
