[img=080411_ea.jpg]Converse.com recently sat down with Emily's Army to discuss their new album and the experience of touring. They discuss how it is to live in a shadow of Green Day and how they feel about being their own band.

Joey Armstrong had this to say about being different from Green Day:

I feel some pressure, just 'cause we've been getting a lot of good press, and as much as we try to avoid the whole "Green Day Jr." label or whatever, we're gonna get it put on us. I just push past it--we're a different band than Green Day. We'll do what we want and we'll play how we play.

Overall, I think it is an excellent interview that I recommend you guys check out. I love how they are so down to Earth about their success, and how they don't seem to want to have anything to do with the "Green Day created spotlight" so to speak. I really enjoyed their new album, and I can't wait to see where this band goes.
