[pic=Heart Like a Hand Grenade]091815_hlahg-cover.jpg[/pic]As we posted the other day, Heart LIke a Hand Grenade, the long-awaited documentary about the recording of Green Day's 2004 album American Idiot, is finally seeing the light of day this October.

Just announced is a slew of showing dates at theaters across the United States, starting October 8th and going through October 22nd. Most theaters will be showing the film for one night only so keep your schedule open for your theater's night. Show time(s) have yet to be announced so be sure to stay tuned-in to GreenDay.com or your local theater's website or showings calendar for specific time(s).

For those who are unable to atttend a showing, an official announcement has yet to be made regarding a physical or digital release of the film. Though, director John Roecker has mentioned via his Facebook page that there will be a physical release at some point.

Personally, I will be attending the October 15th showing in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. If you're attending that showing too, be sure to say "hi!" - look for a black GDA shirt. Also, look forward to a review here on GDA shortly after.
