According to Rolling Stone and The New York Times, the film Geezer will have its world premiere screening at the upcoming Tribeca Film Festival. Following the screening will be a special performance by Billie Joe.

The 2016 Tribeca Film Festival will take place from April 13th to April 24th in New York. At this time, it is unknown when the film will screen.

As we've previously posted, Geezer is a new film starring Billie Joe, Selma Blair, and Fred Armisen. Check out the synopsis below:
Perry (Billie Joe Armstrong) is a happily married father of two living a comfortable but sedate life in the suburbs. On the occasion of his 40th birthday, he seeks to revisit his former life as the lead singer in a popular punk band though his middle-aged reality quickly (and hilariously) clashes with the indulgences of his youth.
The 2016 Tribeca Film Festival will take place from April 13th to April 24th in New York. At this time, it is unknown when the film will screen but festival organizers will release screening schedules by March 15th and single tickets go on sale March 29th. Check out their website for the full lineup and information.

Late last year, Billie Joe performed two songs from the film with Fred Armisen at a private Geezer after-party.

It is still unknown when, or if, the film will make its theater debut, but the Tribeca Film Festival screening is the film's world premiere.
