Latin singer/songwriter Sharkira proves she knows how to rock with her cover of Green Day's "Basket Case." Recently, the singer posted a brief clip of her in the studio with her producer performing an acoustic rendition of the song.

“Me, being a basket case with my producer…” she writes in her Instagram caption. Watch the clip below.

After the clip was posted, Green Day themselves praised Shakira for her rendition. Mike Dirnt commented “Bacano!” on the post, which is Colombian slang for “Cool!” and Billie Joe Armstrong responded with “I love this.”

Sharkira performs at the Super Bowl Half Time show with Jennifer Lopez next year.
