Dreamforce Gala, AT&T Park in San Francisco, CA
November 19, 2013
Other Acts:
  • Recordings from this show can be found here
  • During "Wake Me Up When September Ends" Mike Dirnt mopped the stage's floor in a humorous manner
  • SF Gate: "The Dreamforce fundraising gala/concert at AT&T Park Tuesday night could have been a real downer - not only did the steady rain drench attendees, but the sound system blew out in the middle of headliner Green Day’s set. But kudos to Green Day and front man Billie Joe Armstrong for refusing to give up. The band played on without microphones or loudspeakers, even if they could only be heard by the hardy fans who braved the rain to stand near the stage set in centerfield. At one point, Armstrong took the only mic that worked, picked up a guitar and did a nice rendition of Wake Me Up When September Ends. And instead of throwing in the (wet) towel when it looked like the audio system would never come back, Green Day kept the concert going long enough for some semblance of a sound system to be patched together and gave their fans what they wanted to see and hear. Blondie opened for Green Day for the concert and fundraising gala, which benefited the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Oakland."
