John Kiffmeyer: "We recorded our demo tape, but we never released a demo tape, because... yeah. ... He's [Marshall Stax] a great guy. He does the sound at the Gilman Street Project. He's really nice to us. Except for the time that we tried to, like, move all the equipment off the stage after the soundcheck, and he started freaking out... And so, after every song we'd say, 'Thanks a lot.' And then we'd say, 'Let's give a big hand for Al's equipment.' 'Cause we were on stage, he wouldn't let us take all this junk off stage. That was at Gilman Street."
