Billie Joe Armstrong: "Our first show with John was October '88. We opened for Nasal Sex, Sewer Trout, and Crimpshrine in Davis, CA at a Veterans Hall."
John Kiffmeyer: "So I just walked over to them and said, 'Can I be in your band because I don't have a band anymore.' And then Martin and Jason (from Isocracy) took off on a moped and I was in this new band. That was on a Sunday. We practiced on Tuesday and Wednesday and played our show on Friday."
