[img=101611_blink.jpg]Blink 182's Mark Hoppus appeared on UK morning sports show Soccer AM this weekend. One of the questions he was asked was whether Green Day or Blink 182 started "Pop Punk."

Hoppus is asked the question at around 3:50, to which he quickly replies that Green Day were before them. The Blink bassist then goes on to jokingly claim that Blink 182 did in fact invent the genre. It's a pretty entertaining interview, he also talks more about his band and other stuff he's up to at the moment:
