Green Day nominated for EMA

[newsImage]092010_gd-ema.jpg[/newsImage]Green Day has been nominated at the 2010 MTV EMA awards for "Best World Stage Performance" for their performance on MTV's World Stage last year in Germany. This year's show is taking place in Madrid, Spain on November 7th.

Other nominees include The Gorillaz, Katy Perry, Muse, 30 Seconds to Mars, and Tokio Hotel.
At last year's show, the band won Best Rock and also performed 'Know Your Enemy' along with 'Minority'.

Punk trio Green Day's latest album, 21st Century Breakdown, hit number one in 14 different countries, obtaining gold or platinum status in each, and achieved the band's best chart performance to date. They won the EMA for Best Rock last year.
