Song Meaning
As is evident in the lyrics, the song describes a torturous reality: nothing goes right, everything goes wrong, and things seem like they'll never improve. When someone gets so beat up that they think they can't continue, all their hope is lost. But, in the line "Deadbeat holiday/Celebrate your own decay," the narrator stresses that when the going gets tough, the tough get going. If you feel like you have nothing to lose, keep pushing, and don't give up. This song says to accept your own fate, and make the best of what you're given.
