NME, in its new issue, has a small article on Green Day. It says producer Linda Perry has worked on some tracks for Green Day and "has been making the band listen to the 'Nuggets' box sets -- an influential series of compilations of 60s US garage rock and psych bands. Stranger still, she made Armstrong grow his hair, which could explain the Foxboro Hot Tubs mystery."

I'm assuming that what this means to say is that listening to the 60s garage rock explains the 60s sound of the Foxboro Hot Tubs, and not that the long hair explains the Foxboro Hot Tubs... Now if only we had some pictures!
