[newsImage]010510_grammys.jpg[/newsImage]It was confirmed this morning that Green Day will be performing at the 52nd Grammy Awards, which take place January 31st at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The show will be broadcast on CBS at 8pm EST/PST. Full Press Release.
Green Day is nominated for 3 awards this year: Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song for '21 Guns', and Best Rock Album with '21st Century Breakdown'.
Other performers scheduled are Lady Gaga, P!nk, Dave Matthews Band, Beyoncé, Black Eyed Peas, Zac Brown Band, Lady Antebellum, Maxwell, and Taylor Swift. More are to be announced "soon".
Green Day performed 'American Idiot' at the 2005 Grammys, which was later named as the #1 Grammy performance. It was also a year ago at the 51st Grammys that Green Day announced '21st Century Breakdown'. Good to know a year later it's up for 3 nominations.
