Green Day has just announced through a comical video that they would be performing at this years VMA's on September 6th on MTV. The video features the bands rehearsal getting interrupted the VMAs host Kevin Hart, who insists that he's now a part of Green Day.

Other performers at this years VMA's include Alicia Keys, One Direction and P!nk and airs on MTV on Thursday, September 6 at 8 p.m. ET
